    1. Me too! I’m 38 and every Urgent Care visit is a nurse or doctor telling me that in a shocked “I bet you didn’t know this cool fact about yourself” sort of way!

    2. I’ve been a nurse and now nurse practitioner for 18 years and I’ve never seen that! And I look into a ton of mouths because I’m in the ER and people are always coming in with sore throats and colds.

    3. Fun fact the Uvula, in every human being, consist of two muscles. In your case it seems those two muscles split somewhere in your early growth.

It’s called a bifid uvula and is to do with things not fully fusing during pregnancy. Do you have a cleft palate at all?

    5. I forgot the word for this, and then I ‘remembered’ it was called the Medulla Oblongata. I’ve been calling it that for YEARS 😂

This is can sometimes be seen with Loeys-Dietz syndrome. Similar to Marfan syndrome. May be worth at least mentioning to your pcp especially if there is a family hx of stoke, MI.

    7. Oh, that’s cool! If I hadn’t already submitted my Biology Scavenger Hunt assignment, I would have asked for permission to use this.

    8. Ouch, meanwhile mine is too long, when i close my mouth, it touches my tongue, i have to open my mouth at like 30% to “raise” it. Awful feeling .
      Good luck with yours 🙃

That’s actually pretty cool. Does it make a double echoing sound when you scream or is it just business as usual?
